Safety Policy
Sumitomo Electric Sintered Components (M) Sdn. Bhd (SESC) is responsible to provide a safe and comfortable work environment for its workers, agents, sub-contractors and others who will perform any kind of jobs within its premises. In order to ensure SESC continues to be a workplace that is suitable for work, recreational activities which are approved by the Company as well as to focus on achieving its corporate objectives without any disturbances, therefore standard procedures, precautionary steps and training programs shall be implemented and the following items shall be taken into consideration while executing its:-
- Procedures and steps for 5S & safety must be prioritised when carrying out any kind of works
- Education and training for all levels of workers on the elements of safety and work health as well as environmental improvement shall be implemented in order to ensure all procedures and steps that have been introduced can be followed
- To avoid none commitment attitude to 5S, safety and health through continuous safety reminder and campaign
- To encourage and to make it mandatory on the use of personnel safety protective by the workers when and where it is required
- To ensure the owner or workers from agent, subcontractor and any other party who perform any works in SESC premises shall be informed and reminded on all the applicable safety procedures and steps as well as to ensure that there are followed through
- Procedures that are being planned and implemented must comply to the Worker Safety and Health Act 1994, Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and Environmental Quality Act 1974, and all its subsequent amendments
All of us, be it individual or group, is responsible for the well being of our co-workers and therefore, shall take positive action and to ensure that our work area comply to the 5S and safety standards that are expected on us being a world class manufacturer.
